TEHRAN -- Iranian artist Karim Allahkhani has created two works for the 7th Geumgang International Nature Art Biennial in South Korea.

One of Allahkhani’s works is “Here, a Tree” that features pieces of dried trunks suspended from trees at the international residence of the biennial.

In addition, a number of trunks have been scattered under those that are hanging.

The trunks shape a complete tree if visitors view the land art from a certain point that Allahkhani has marked on a nearby rock.

“The growth of technology has typically resulted in the destruction of nature, which has led us to a situation where we need to search in order to find a tree,” Allahkhani told the Persian service of ISNA on Friday.

Many artists from around the world are participating in the biennial, which is being organized by Yatoo, the Korean Nature Art Association.

The artists live together for three weeks, creating their works at Ssangshin Park. The works are scheduled to be showcased in exhibition, which will open to the public from August 26 to November 30.

The exhibit allows the visitors to observe how they interact with the natural environment.
